Chemical wrinkle relaxers / Neuromodulators / “Tox”

Botox, Dysport, Daxxify, Xeomin

We participate in Alle (formerly Brilliant Distinctions) and Aspire rewards programs.

Neuromodulators – often referred to collectively as “tox” – are used to quiet the activity of muscles that cause wrinkles through repetitive “crunching,” or movement of the skin above them. While tox is particularly effective on expression lines on the forehead, the “11’s” between the eyes, and on crow’s feet, it can be used on other areas, too, like the neck and above the upper lip.

Once a line is etched and visible at rest, tox is used to soften its appearance over time and make it less obvious. That being said, the easiest and most effective way to treat a wrinkle is by preventing it from forming in the first place! In this way, tox makes a particularly effective preventative treatment. In addition, tox is used to treat TMJ and migraine symptoms!

Filler

Restylane, RHA, Radiesse

Filler is used to replace the volume and contour that we naturally lose as we age. It is commonly used in the lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds, jawline, marionette lines, chin, neck, and even the hands!

We offer both single syringe treatment sessions and multi syringe packages for a more balanced restoration. We use Ultrasound and Doppler guidance when appropriate, in combination with specialized needle and cannula techniques to optimize results and safety when doing these procedures.

Prior to any filler treatment, we require a consult appointment – even if you’ve had filler elsewhere – to fully discuss the best option for the areas you’re looking to treat, along with your overall goals, as well as the risks, investment, and injecting process. This allows you the opportunity to consider what’s involved before committing on the spot.

Please note, we do not offer liquid rhinoplasties or forehead filler. While we are happy to discuss this further with you, these areas present a higher risk of tissue damage – and even blindness – and should not be undertaken without careful consideration. We have wonderful providers to refer you to, should this be an option you’d like to pursue.

We also elect not to do tear trough filler except in very specific patients. While it can offer a beautiful initial correction, many times it draws water and interrupts the local lymphatics (your body’s natural drainage outlets). This can cause swelling under the eyes (further stretching this already thin skin and aging it prematurely), and eventually, the formation of an unattractive bulge known as a festoon. We frequently see clients who come to us needing to have their under eye filler dissolved, just another reason why we recommend other options for more meaningful rejuvenation around the delicate eye area.

Biostimulation

Sculptra and Hd Radiesse

There are many factors that contribute to the visual impact of aging on our skin. One of the most significant, is the loss of collagen and elastin (essential proteins that make up the supportive matrix of our skin, and begins to occur in our late 20’s.

By the time we reach 50, we have lost half a cup of volume and a third of our collagen from our face! Biostimulation is a proactive, preventative approach that one can take in your 30’s and 40’s, as well as a restorative “jump start” approach after 50, in order to encourage more collagen production and healthier, more youthful appearing skin.

We offer a variety of biostimulation therapies such as Laser Resurfacing, Sculptra, Hyperdilute Radiesse, traditional microneedling, chemical ‘boosting’ treatments, and PRF (platelet-rich fibrin).

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF), Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Skin Serums

Plasma is rich in platelets, stem cells and growth factors – the natural healing components of your blood. Following a simple blood draw, a client’s own plasma can be obtained using centrifugation. The resulting “liquid gold” is then prepped for aesthetic use.

Both platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) are used to support your skin’s health and overall appearance. While PRP has a platelet concentration 2-5 times higher than what’s typically found per mcL of blood, PRF has 8-10 times the concentration of platelets! PRP is processed in lab tubes with special additives to immediately activate it and maintain a liquid state. It can also be heated to alter its consistency into more of a gel to allow for more structured support. PRF is processed in additive-free tubes (making it completely pure), and utilizes a fibrin matrix allowing for a slower more steady release of stem cells and growth factors. PRF/PRP supports tissue repair and regeneration.

We love PRF/PRP as healing adjuncts for microneedling and laser treatment, for injection under the eyes and in the creases of the face.

As the quality of our PRP/PRF is highly impacted by variables such as overall health, age and medications, we also offer special skin supporting serums as alternatives where PRP/PRF may not be the best option!
